We have swap meets but I think they are the same thing as flea markets. My brother goes down nearly every weekend. Before my mother became incapacitated, she went with him, and they spent hours and hours picking through stuff and bringing it back. Now my brother has the lovely task of going through the things my mother filled the house with and finding a way to clear it out. Today he wants to take some of it for donations.
Everyone enjoys a debate, but if it starts to run off of the rails and people become belligerent or disrespectful, then the host can ask them to leave. There's no censorship, only a boundary of what is acceptable behaviour.
For me, they are accurate to determine trends upswings, stability, and downswings and that is about as far as I trust them.
I agree. But I don't know whether or not anything like "God" exists apart from human (or even other) consciousness. Even Anselm's rather vaguely empty definition of God, "a being which no greater being can exist" still limits God by terms like "being" & "greatness".
She re-inventing her own Muhammad, and the result is not supported by Islamic sources. So the book is misleading to anyone who wants to understand Islam through reading it.
Rodman has already done that.
That's right, UNLAWFUL.
A reasonable person would suspect that the story of a transfer of sin at birth, to every human, at the fault of someone who sinned thousands of years ago, thereby requiring allegiance to the only god that can allegedly neutralize the sin, to avoid punishment after death, is a scheme to promote allegiance to that god.
There's a point I'm aware of on Acts' timing: if it was written so late after Paul's death, why wasn't his martyrdom included? James the Less, and Stephen's martyrdom's are both mentioned. So is Paul's trip to Rome. If Peter and Paul were both killed in Rome... as mentioned by Clement... why isn't it mentioned in Acts?
Thank you for the quick history lesson,
The exercise which
The " I don't care" was in reponse to his question. I posted one initial comment and have responded to people in turn. Although I imagine I should have just left all questions or comments directed to me without response....

I just bought a new oven because I didn't want to clean the old one.

I think all the tax breaks for non-profits, including churches, should be done away with.
Then perhaps a remedial reading course is necessary, as your understanding of my post is quite different from what I actually said. Personhood is the only thing that matters.
There were 39 uses of mutila-tion or mutilate in the comments which shows a large confusion about what male circumcision is. Male circumcision is not mutilation. It does not cause damage to the penis or reduce its function. It's not a disfiguring mark. Mutilation seems to be a word used simply because you're against male circumcision.
Why argue with me? You can ask an evolutionary biologist and get the correct answer. Are you afraid of the truth? They have these kinds of arguments all the time from religious brain dead people. Even the pope said evolution is real and the Biblical story of creation is a myth.
But as I said below, Frank and Michael are gone. Kelly is still actively hurting women. I think that's the difference.
Mainline scholars have vindicated Thomson...that?s it? Laughable.
You then have to ask what the creator is, where did it come from and how does it make stuff, so you aren't any closer to an answer.
Apparently you didn't read retired Episcopal Bishop John Shelby Spong's book "Rescuing the Bible from Fundamentalism" since he makes the same claim although he doesn't also claim that Paul's special friend Luke was also homosexual like I do.Don't worry about Paul since Jesus supposed forgave Paul for all Paul's sins including Paul's homosexuality. If that's all you have, excuse me while a enjoy a day of debauchery already forgiven by Jesus.
