Oh that's so cute and harmonious! You just made my gonads tickle.
It still gets weirder.
The reason that it was removed from the DSM is that its original addition was political. A mental disorder must meet one of the following criteria: it must either cause a disturbance to the person experiencing it or it must produce a disturbance to society. Homosexuality does not cause either
Why didn't they write it that way, then? And how do you know what they really thought, and what they really intended?
I've always liked that, too. Here in Oregon, there is a poem inspired by the Desiderata, with local relevance. It's called the Oregon Dryrotta:
False. If that homosexual person is the recipient of taxpayer money to care for his self-caused diseases, then it affects me. When that same person recruits others into his sick behavior, and those others then take taxpayer money, it affects me. When the government take money from me by force if law, and spends it to pay for healthcare for the behavioral diseases caused by homosexuals, then it affects me.

I am conflating them because a moral that is not acted upon is meaningless. If one claims to hold a moral opinion, the only true evidence of this opinion is action, not thoughts but acts. An opinion is literally an immaterial abstraction, a thought, until acted upon. Then it manifests in the material world.
Very interesting theory - logically it makes perfect sense.
